Data Management

We are undertaking LANDSCAPE, on behalf of the Heritage Council. We have a data management agreement in place with them and as data processors are subject to that agreement and our obligations under GDPR legislation. We act in strict compliance with these obligations and also strive to undertake all our research in compliance with the highest ethical and professional standards. Below we address in plain language how your data will be used if you participate in a project interview or fill out our project survey.

All queries regarding data management should be directed to agnew@12foot.ie.

Project Interviews

We would like to record the interview. The purpose of this interview is as an unequivocal record of the interview and so we can do an inductive thematic analysis and properly identify useful themes that emerge from the sessions. This analysis will be one of the outputs of the project, but no single contributor will be identified in that analysis, it will be the sum of many interviews.

If a quote we might like to use in our final report emerges, we will contact you directly and check first that you are comfortable with attribution and publication. We do not in any way want to cause issues for anyone, or use their data in ways they are not 100% comfortable with.

Once we have delivered the project outputs to the Heritage Council we will destroy the recordings and/or transcripts. If you would like a copy for your own records we are happy to share one with you, just let us know.

If you have any questions or concerns please let us know at agnew@12foot.ie, we are happy to accommodate people as much as possible.

Project Survey

The purpose of this survey is to give opportunity to as many people as possible working in landscape to let us know what they think about the work. And to provide an alternative to interview, that is much less time consuming.

None of the questions are obligatory. You can if you choose enter some contact information at the end of the survey but this is not obligatory. If you do include this personal information it will be used to send you a copy of the projects published material once that is available. It will also give us some information about who is filling out the survey.

All data will be anonymised prior to publication. Once the project is complete personal data gathered from the survey will be deleted (if you have not provided that data this will not happen).

If you have provided identifying information and you would like your answers to this survey excluded or deleted prior to publication and project completion please contact us at agnew@12foot.ie. (This will not be possible for responses without identifying information included).
